Haleakala Summit

Ashley and I had the wonderful chance to travel to the summit of the Haleakala Volcano in Hawaii. This is a state park that looks a bit like the surface of Mars. It is very different than the rest of Maui. On the day that we went up it when the sun was setting it was around 5 degrees celsius. We stayed at the top hiking and photographing for the better part of around 8 hours. We had wanted to stay longer to do some star photos with the observatory in the background. This didn't happen on account of the full moon that rose soon after sunset. So we packed it in and went back down to the beach to warm up. Here are some really stunning shots from our time at the summit.
